Rask#

A wererat operating beneath the Strangled Goat — the architect of the missing stock operation that had been draining Fen Whistling Man’s inventory for some time. Rask ran a small network of muscle from a makeshift base in the sewer tunnels below Saltstone Square, redirecting stolen goods through channels that suited him.

What the Party Knows#

Rask stepped from behind an old sheet in his sewer room and attempted to negotiate — offering to bring the party in, pay them off, or otherwise make them someone else’s problem. They declined.

Bo-Bo gave him a shallow cut on the arm as a warning. He hadn’t reached for a weapon, so the others held. Then he transformed — wererat — and bolted for one of his bolt holes.

Axis caught him in the tunnel. Rask wriggled free. Bo-Bo scooped him up. Ender ended it.

“Figures. Someone always wants to end a good thing.”

His room contained approximately 30 gold pieces, a ledger documenting the stolen goods operation, personal effects, and an old oilskin containing two items of unknown significance.

Notes#

Rask was clearly not working alone — the muscle in the adjacent room suggests an operation with more backing than a single wererat in a sewer. Whether anyone above him is aware the operation has ended remains to be seen.
